NOTES from MSOD Alumni Conference
October 24-27, 2002, Lake Tahoe, CA

notes from: Liza Sitton-Taylor, Delta Prime
 (e-mail available upon request)

Jane Watkins was there with her husband Ralph Kelly.  Here are a few gems from the fireside I attended:

·         The “A” in AI means “appreciating” as in “increasing in value”, like a house would appreciate.  Not appreciation as in giving appreciation.

·         You don’t “do” AI.  You do strategic planning, teambuilding, etc. from an AI perspective.

·         Getting to synergy:  This feels really messy.  You just keep letting all the voices keep talking until it sort of works.  All of the voices have to be heard and then they’ll come naturally to a place of “synergy”.

·         Think of a time when things weren’t going well and you managed to find a way out of it.

·         Let people be where they are.  If they resist don’t make this a problem.  Let people be where they need to be.

·         “Bold aspirations” is another term you can use for “provocative propositions”.
