Emile Carrière (Canada/USA)

Emile J. Carrière is President and founder of Carrière & Associates, Inc., a consulting firm networked with eight consulting groups in the United States, Canada and Europe.

Consulting at every corporate level, Emile provides expertise in developing or updating a business strategy and organizational mission, then defining the goals and structures that will support migration toward them. He also specializes in coaching executives during job transitions and formulating policies and work processes to effectively manage human competencies.

For the last ten years he has helped IT organizations in Canada, The Netherlands, France, the United Kingdom and Switzerland develop their business strategy. Carrière & Associates, Inc. is a corporate member of the OD Network.

In Québec, Emile Carrière was instrumental in launching Future Search-a process that actively involves all stakeholders in creating future scenarios. He is a member of Searchnet, an international association of "Future Search" practitioners, National Future Search Network, and the West Coast Future Search Network.

During his ten years as a Vice President at Celanese Canada Inc., he was responsible for Human Resources and Public Affairs, chaired the company's Quality Management Task Force, and headed company-wide restructuring and redesign teams.

He has also held management positions at Ontario Hydro in Canada and at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) active in Gaza, Jordan and Lebanon, and has served as Co-Chairman of the Pine Ridge School Board of Trustees in Vermont and as President of the Landsdowne Tutoring Center Consultative Board in Montreal.

Emile Carrière holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of Ottawa and a Masters of Science in Organization Development from Pepperdine University.
