new_e-mail_address
From your OLD e-mail account you can direct the server
to change your subscription to a new e-mail address. This form of
the CHANGE command can be used by any subscriber and results in a cookie being
sent to the new address. This cookie MUST be confirmed by the new address,
exactly as it was entered, or the command will fail.
Note: this
assumes that the user still has the ability to send mail from the
old address.

the DIGEST |
INDEX
and NODIGEST
| NOINDEX
options control the format in which messages should be delivered.
- DIGEST: enable digest delivery mode (which negates INDEX), enable mail delivery.
- INDEX: enable index delivery mode (which negates DIGEST),
enable mail delivery.
- NOMAIL: disable mail delivery.
- MAIL: restore mail delivery, without altering the digest/index/normal delivery setting
- REPro : ListServer includes sending a copy to you of your postings (only
if not DIGEST or INDEX mode set)
- NOREPRO: (default) if receiving postings as individual messages you will not
receive a copy of your postings
- note: you will receive a copy if receiving DIGEST or INDEX mode
messages ...
There is a Digest form of this list (as there are for most LISTSERV lists).
The SET MSOD-L DIGEST command causes the subscriber to receive one e-mail per digest cycle
(which is currently daily unless no messages are received) with all the messages
received
by the list during that cycle instead of the individual messages as they are processed by
LISTSERV.
You set your Subscription for MSOD-L to digest mode by sending a message to the Server
LISTSERV@msod.pepperdine.edu
in the body of the e-mail send the following:
SET MSOD-L DIGEST
---- its that simple .... and to cancel the digest mode ???
SET MSOD-L NODIGEST
an example might look like:
There is an Index form of this list (as there are for most LISTSERV lists).
The SET MSOD-L INDEX command causes the subscriber to receive one posting per digest
cycle (which is currently daily unless no messages are received) containing only an index
of subject topics for all messages during that cycle -- you have to request individual
messages ... obviously for the more digitally adventurous.
You set your Subscription for MSOD-L to index mode by sending a message to the Server
LISTSERV@msod.pepperdine.edu
in the body of the e-mail send the following:
SET MSOD-L INDEX
---- its that simple .... and to cancel the index mode ???
SET MSOD-L NOINDEX
------------------
controls whether the ListServe messages should be delivered, ( like when you go on
vacation or your e-mail has been disconnected and temporarily you don't want the mail )
(
WARNING: if your e-mail program AUTOMATICALLY sends out an "out of
the office" or "on vacation" reply message to each e-mail it receives -- the SERVER
"HATES" getting such mail and eventually will disable your account!!!!)
HERE IS AN EXAMPLE to Temporarily Stop Receiving Messages:
to permanently un-subscribe from a
list -- see the signoff command
------------------
controls whether the ListServe messages should send you a copy of the messages
you post. If you are not receiving the DIGEST or INDEX
formats the default is to NOT send you a copy of your postings
(NOREPro).
If you receive individual e-mail messages for each post to MSOD-L and want to
receive a copy of your posts you need to send the SET MSOD-L REPRO command to
the LISTSERVER ...
